For those that have never ventured to the Theatre, parking as with all theatres that I know of, is a problem however parking will be available in St Margaret's Nurseries just opposite the Theatre and should that be full there is an arrangement with the local Holiday Inn at St. Margaret's Roundabout, about a 400m walk away. If you wish to avail yourself of this facility
If parking at the Hotel YOU MUST BOOK YOUR CAR IN AT RECEPTION, OTHERWISE A PARKING TICKET WILL BE ISSUED
There are so many things out there we have all heard of, some of us may have experienced some of them, but many (like me) will really know nothing about them, so after the successful Coffee Morning we have arranged an evening presentation by a Macmillan Cancer Support ambassador, one who has been through the mill and come out of the other side. It will be held on Monday 18-11-2019 at 19:30 in the Oak Theatre at the Theatre. It is NOT intended as a money raising event but I am sure that there will be a bucket for those who wish to contribute.
We have invited all of the local Men's Sheds to try and get a decent number of attendees. We hope it will be an informative presentation and discussion, in some ways celebratory in that cancer may not be the big scare that so many of us fear. The presentation should last for 20-30 minutes with time for questions, so say 1 hour in all. (I'll see if we can get Kevin to open the bar afterwards if there is enough support).
For guests who are unfamiliar with our Shed or the amazing history of the Theatre we will be giving a SHORT introduction to the history of FMS along with accompanied visits to the Shed itself and we have talked Kevin in to giving us the story of the Theatre.
If this one goes well we are intending to invite Autism Hampshire and Dementia Aware to make a similar presentation over the next few months.
