Ten of us made our way to the Museum where we were met by Joe, one of the volunteers, who gave us a fascinating insight into the history of the establishment. I must admit that I had been some 10 years previously and it has expanded tremendously since then. We spent some 3-4 hours looking round and although it is a fairly small site there are a great many artefacts, all seemed to have a potted history for explanation, many interactive exhibits and a lot of staff who all seem to have incredible tales to tell. The only comment that I would make is that they need to ensure that they get an aural history from each of them as it would be a disaster if any of them were to die without leaving their stories for posterity.

All in all a very pleasant day out and highly recommended.
