As we slip into our tenth year of operation the time has come again for our Annual General Meeting.
The AGM for 2025 will be held at Catisfield Memorial Hall, 22 Catisfield Lane,
Fareham, PO15 5NN on the 24th of February 2026. Commencing at 10:15 to12:00 hrs.
Every Shedder is encouraged to attend please.
The Trustees Report for 2025 which includes the financial report and record of achievements, will be officially presented. You will also hear an outline of our current situation and future aims.
Trustees
You are aware that we are steered by a voluntary committee of Trustees. Some must step down each year as per our constitution or will have stepped down for personal reasons. As to our constitution, some trustees will step down and offer themselves for re-election, others will be stepping down for personal reasons. We will therefore have vacancies and invite those members that may be interested to offer themselves to help steer Our Shed. We will have 12 trustees ensuring a fair spread of duties! Meetings are normally held on the first Monday of each month.
Nominations for positions of trustees:-
Nominations consist of a ‘proposer’, a ‘seconder’ and of course the nominee must agree. Only paid-up members are eligible to be trustees. Nomination forms are available in the social room or via our website here.
The proposer, seconder and nominated person must all sign the form before handing it in. Please pass these to our secretary, Peter Childs by 16/02/2026 or to any trustee by this date.

The trustees report and financial statement will be issued to all members in good time before the AGM.

Roosters

Three roosters.
As you may be aware we have a retail sales outlet at Moonstones Florist in Fareham Park Road and a while ago I showed Sarah, the proprietor, some pictures of JohnC's laser-cut doggie planters and bird houses. Among them was a picture of a rooster which started her giggling. When she finally stopped she asked if it would be possibe to make her one.
Well as you may know, we finally got our laser cutter working the other day, it is a slightly awkward situation as it is in Waterlooville at the wheelchair company that some of us are helping because even though The Theatre have supplied us with a fantastic space for The Shed this is quite a large machine with specific environmental requiremenst, but at least we can use it now. Anyway I thought, what a great first try, I spoke with John and he kindly passed the design files to me and voila, Rooster for Sarah. She reckons that it still makes her smile and a little levity is always a good thing.
