Friends of Fareham Station

The Shed was originally approached by “Friends of Fareham Railway Station” in August 2021 requesting quotations for planters in order to “brighten up” the station's appearance.

After providing costs, we failed to elicit a reply so the project was forgotten about. Exactly one year later we were contacted again by a lady who told us that funds were now in place and to go ahead with the project. She required one large planter to be placed on the approach to the station and one 3 tier planter for the booking hall.

After purchasing the timber decking, Mick Turner, Richard Bristow and myself proceeded to design and construct them.

It took 2 weeks to build, paint and deliver them to the station where they were installed and filled with soil ready for planting out.
