What a transformation.

A little while ago ChrisC turned up with three decanters that he had acquired, I can't remember now whether his wife and he had both forsworn the evils of strong alcohol or whether they had been given to him as a thank you for a job that he did for soemebody else, any way that's beside the point.

So there we were about half a dozen members sitting having a cup of tea and a custard cream. We were joined by a new member, MikeS and this was his first day with us, he soon joined into the conversation about the three decanters and what to do with them. To be honest they didn't look much, very old fashioned and uninviting. The idea suddenly came to me, would they look better in a nautilus - not the submarine!

Just Two weeks later and MikeS arrived with this, 3 decanters nestling in a beize-lined mahogany nautilus with a lock to prevent pilferring and my first thought was that you couldn't open it without taking the stopper off of the tall one, but you can. What a cracking design .

Thank you Mike, you have earned a place in our Hall of Fame.

And just to add a finishing touch to hang around their necks as necessary.
