Advent Cafe Day.
Fareham Men's Shed were kindly offered a table to display some of our work and of course, to promote the Shed's cause at the 'Advent Cafe' in Titchfield. This was a pre-Christmas fund raising event at St Peter's Church in Titchfield (Sat 26th Nov).
There was a good turn out of stall holders and public visiting, hot drinks and cakes were provided and very welcomed by stall holders and the public alike.
The event provided the Church with substantial takings, half of which was to be passed onto a homeless charity, we contributed 10% of their takings (as was the arrangement) so also benefited from the morning. We were pleased with our table display much enhanced by the Christmas display of lazer cut items made by our shed member John C.
All in all, a profitable event for all concerned and our thanks go to our Shedders who made and contributed items for the event.
