What a fascinating talk David Key from The Supermariners gave us at our recent meeting at Catisfield Memorial Hall.

He gave us the history and development not only of the Spitfire but how Hursley Park was gradually commandeered as their headquarters all of which many of us knew absolutely nothing about!

Fortunately we had extended our booking time to allow for a spread supplied by Gordon to honour his 90th birthday. The tables were actually groaning under the weight. Luckily this was one of our best supported sessions with 38 members and guests arriving. Even then Rod took the remaining scoff back to The Shed and filled the fridge with it. We now have enough sausage rolls to last for at least a week (assuming they don't turn green or grey).
