Some time ago we were approached by the Titchfield Village Society asking if we could convert a Gilbert Scott No. 2 telephone kiosk that they had obtained from Fareham Borough Council into a book exchange.

Knowing that I was a soft touch for this sort of project BrianM (our projectsd manager) ask me to take on the task. After a bit of head scratching we came up with a plan but as our workshop was still out of use due to the moveI decided to prefabricate the unit at home, because the finished unit could not be fitted in the kiosk it had to be made as a flatpck to be assembled in situ. That was great fun and as I had not written an instruction manual I made the decision to install the unit on my own. Eat your heart out Ikea.

I completed the job and our contact from Titchfield was very happy with the end result.
