A new, tentative re-opening.

Whilst much effort had been expended on getting the workshop sorted, well it is the biggest job that we have at the moment, the social area had been somewhat negelected. TonyC very kindly donated his old living room carpet and a load of old, used laminate flooring, whilst PatK supplied a pile of second hand, industrial quality carpet tiles. So on Wednesday last week PeterK and ChrisN managed to lay the carpet and attempted to use the laminate flooring, unfortunately with absolutely no success. Luckily ChrisN's son was available over the weekend and offered his services so with some unused, left-over laminate flooring Chris and Craig set to and managed to complete the task in readiness for Monday. The joints between carpet, tiles and laminate need securing with aluminium trim.

Come the great day over 20 members attended. The picture only shows some of them because trying to get them all together was like herding an unruly flock of sheep. The thing that we were all worried about was 'would there be enough room?' Just about as long as not too many of us want to sit down at the same time. This situation will obviously improve as the workshop becomes more useable, so for now the answer is probably 'yes'.

A great morning enjoyed by everybody so here we go again into a bright, new future. We need to arrange the Great Opening at sometime soon which will be the next big thing.
